Who are better: British or American political pollsters?
Entry level one of political polling punditry is to look at a voting intention polls showing a party up a couple of points and start drawing conclusions as if that's a meaningful change. (This is the level too much media coverage is still at, especially when a news outlet has to justify the money it has just spent on a poll.)
